Valentine #17 June 1961
In "Easy to Dream," a quiet moment in a flower shop becomes a poignant meditation on longing and unseen connections. The girl who tends the blooms—watching the same man pass by each day—dreams of being noticed, until the moment his routine shifts and she witnesses his hope, unmet. A single gesture, a dropped bouquet, and the tender act of picking them up become a quiet turning point. Drawn with gentle precision by Josep Maria Miralles, this 1961 Valentine issue captures a fleeting, heartfelt moment in a 5d comic from IPC.

The girl in the flower shop sells flowers for sweethearts and wives, but no one buys flowers for her. She dreams that the man who comes in every day will some day stop to talk to her for a while. But when the pattern changes, the man is buying flowers for another woman. He meets the woman outside the shop and the shop girl sees his gift of flowers rejected by the other woman. He drops the flowers and the shop girl retrieves them because they were bought with love and hope. When the man sees the shop girl picking up his flowers, her sadness causes him to see her in a new light.
