Für eine Mahlzeit geht Miyamoto Usagi in ein kleines Restaurant, wo er einen Mann trifft der gerne Papierkraniche faltet und ihm erzählt dass er sie zur Erinnerung macht an seine zahllosen Opfer. Da er als Auftragskiller arbeitet, und merkwürdigerweise kennt er seinen Namen und schenkt ihm auch einen. Wenig später nach seiner Mahlzeit erfährt er auch den Grund, als er von ihm zum Kampf gefordert wird, den Usagi nach wenigen Schwerthieben für sich entscheiden kann. Zurück bleibt der Tote Killer und ein Papierkranich.
