Lord Sanada is operating a secret gold mine in the neighboring Geishu Province - and keeping inquisitive minds at bay with rumors of the plague. The warriors sent by Lord Noriyuki to investigate have been either killed or captured, and Sanada's samurai are now in pursuit of Tomoe. Back at the Geishu castle, ambitious sycophant Lord Horikawa plots to get rid of Tomoe himself.
