Usagi Yojimbo #25

Stan Sakai places his ronin rabbit hero in a striking nautical setting for this 1998 Dark Horse installment, "Momo-Usagi-Taro." The cover finds an elaborately armored, older warrior figure — adorned in richly decorated robes and clutching a decorative fan — standing defiantly aboard a sailing vessel, its great curved hull and rope-rigged mast filling the background. It's a beautifully composed scene that hints at seafaring adventure, rendered with all the warmth and precision fans have come to love from Sakai's unmistakable hand.
