Usagi Yojimbo #18

Stan Sakai's cover says it all: the rabbit ronin Usagi stands his ground, blade drawn and expression fierce, against a massive, glowing-eyed tengu demon whose jaws gape wide and claws reach forward with unmistakable menace. The contrast between Usagi's calm determination and the creature's overwhelming size makes for a genuinely gripping image. This is part three of the "Tengu War!" arc, colored with rich warmth by Hi-Fi Design, and it's a fine example of why Sakai's long-running series continues to earn its devoted readership in 2021.
