Usagi Yojimbo #146
In "The Thief and the Kunoichi Part 2," Usagi Yojimbo faces a tense standoff as Chizu and the rabbit ronin race to stop Kitsune from delivering a stolen painting that holds a dangerous secret—one that could shift power in the ginseng trade and aid Lord Hikiji. With Kitsune bargaining for her own freedom and Chizu’s former Neko Ninja allies closing in, the stakes rise as old alliances are tested and new betrayals loom. Written and illustrated by Stan Sakai, this issue continues the layered intrigue with the same masterful storytelling and expressive art that define the series, while the cover by Stan Sakai captures the moment’s quiet tension.
