While Usagi and retainers search for the magistrate's son, kidnappers Suzuki and Ishii are recognized by the son and Ishii kills him to protect their identities. Cutting off one of the son's fingers, Ishii tells Suzuki to bring it to Maeda as a ransom demand on behalf of the Red Scorpion Gang. Becoming suspicious, Usagi returns to the school and finds the dead son's body. As he prepares to fight Ishii, Usagi calls Ishii the leader of the Red Scorpions but Ishii grins: he's not one of the Red Scorpion Gang.
