Usagi Yojimbo #131

Usagi Yojimbo and a burly, scowling bear companion stand back to back against a latticed wooden wall, blades converging on them from every direction — a cover by Stan Sakai that crackles with tension and economy of line. The rabbit ronin, dressed in his familiar blue kimono and gripping a katana, looks absolutely ready for whatever "Return to Hell, Part Two" is about to deliver. Dark Horse's long-running series was in strong hands in 2010, with Sakai handling every creative role himself — writing, drawing, inking, and lettering — and this issue is a fine reminder of why that dedication shows.
