"Ring of Smoke" tells of a woman named Joan who feels strangely odd after receiving a mysterious ring, only to discover she has been chosen by an alien race seeking a human family to protect, leading to an encounter with authorities that ends with the family warned to keep quiet about their extraterrestrial contact.
In "Ring of Smoke," Georgina schemes to keep her brother Ray’s fiancée Joan from inheriting their family plantation, but when strange, smoky omens begin to appear, it becomes clear the tribal gods may have their own plans for the estate’s future.
