# Unusual Tales #39 This anthology issue contains at least two stories. "Strange Fortress" depicts an invasion of the Moon by hostile Moonites who attempt to enslave human prisoners through mind control; the narrator and his forces mount a defensive tank assault and ultimately locate the Moonites' hidden underground factory, leading to their defeat and allowing Earth and Moon to coexist peacefully. A second story features a shipwrecked hypnotist who encounters a mysterious man offering him shelter and an uncanny life of leisure, which the hypnotist finds suspiciously tempting despite warnings about the man's true nature.
