Unnatural #12

The twelfth and final issue of Mirka Andolfo's Unnatural arrives with a cover that's hard to look away from — a massive, cold eye dominates the frame, and reflected within its pupil is a blue-haired pig-girl, hands pressed forward as if shattering glass, her expression fierce and defiant. It's a striking image of confrontation and entrapment, with Andolfo's pencils and inks delivering both menace and intimacy in a single arresting composition. A fitting capstone to one of Image Comics' most visually distinctive series of 2019.
