This is an anthology issue featuring three stories. "Fritzi Ritz" shows Fritzi borrowing oversized boxing mittens from a neighbor's child after losing her own. "Mamie" by Russell Patterson follows Mamie as she takes a new job at a photo fashion studio to earn extra money, but her attempts to go on a lunch date with a poor man are repeatedly interrupted, leading her to consider marrying him despite his lack of wealth. "Abbie an' Slats" depicts a town celebration where Jasper Haggarty invents a special chemically-treated wheel to absorb rubber, which mysteriously disappears and is found coating a new highway, while conflicting claims arise over who invented the wheel. A second "Mamie" story shows Mamie skiing and attempting various maneuvers, humorously unable to follow the rulebook's instructions and considering writing new rules for skiing.
