From Image Comics in 1994, this zero issue introduces Union through a cover by Ryan Benjamin and Tom McWeeney that practically leaps off the page — a white-haired, red-suited hero lunges forward with a massive gauntleted fist aimed straight at the reader, his cape billowing behind him and a glowing belt buckle gleaming at his waist. The intensity in his snarling expression and the crackling energy surrounding him make a strong first impression for the series.
