Unfollow #2

Vertigo's Unfollow hits its second issue with a cover by Matt Taylor that immediately commands attention — a grinning, green-tinged figure looms large above a group of silhouetted people standing amid lush tropical foliage, the number 140 hovering ominously nearby. The stark contrast of hot pink, deep black, and sickly green gives the whole image a sense of dread wrapped in dark wit, which lines up nicely with IGN's praise for the series' blend of "topical drama and absurd levity." Rob Williams, Michael Dowling, and colorist Quinton Winter are building something genuinely compelling here, and this February 2016 issue looks like a fine place to see where it all leads.
