Une Aventure des X-Men #1
In "Dans l'ombre de Sauron," the X-Men face off against the enigmatic Sauron, who escapes without a trace—leaving behind a mystery tied to a mysterious flying dinosaur. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with striking detail by Neal Adams, with inks by Tom Palmer and colors by Adams, this 1975 French edition from Éditions Lug features a cover by Jean Frisano, capturing the tension of a fractured team and a hidden identity.
In "Dans l'ombre de Sauron," the X-Men bring their injured teammate Havok to an old friend of Xavier’s—Dr. Karl Lykos—only to discover the doctor is a hidden energy vampire whose dark transformation unleashes the malevolent Sauron. As Angel takes flight to investigate a mysterious flying dinosaur, he falls prey to Sauron’s hypnotic grip, plunging the team into a battle where shadows and secrets collide.
In a storm-laced mountain retreat, the X-Men confront the enigmatic Sauron, unaware he’s the reclusive Karl Lykos—once a man torn between love and power. When Sauron drains Polaris’s energy and reverts to his true self, he flees into the wilds, haunted by guilt and fear, leaving behind a fractured past and a final, desperate flight into the unknown.
In "Etranger dans une Terre Sauvage !", Angel finds himself stranded in the wilds of a mysterious land after searching for Sauron, only to be rescued from flying dinosaurs by Magneto—now claiming to be the guardian of mutant life in this hidden realm. As the rest of the X-Men arrive and encounter Ka-Zar and his companion Zabu, the team must navigate a world where loyalty is tested and the line between protector and enemy blurs.
In "Guerre souterraine !", the X-Men—Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Beast, and Angel—join forces with Ka-Zar and Zabu to confront Magneto and his army of savage mutants in the hidden depths of the Savage Land. With the terrain itself turning against them and strange new foes like Amphibius, Equilibrius, and the Brainchild lurking in the shadows, the team must fight not just for survival, but to protect the fragile balance of this lost world.
