In "First Aiders of Dawson," Dickie Duck returns to the frozen frontier town of Dawson to interview her grandfather Scrooge about his wild Klondike past, uncovering tales of gold, danger, and a certain glamorous gambler named Glittering Goldie O'Gilt. As the story unfolds through Scrooge’s colorful — and slightly exaggerated — recollections, old rivalries, a mysterious Mountie, and a pair of suspicious henchmen begin to stir beneath the surface of a seemingly simple memory.

In "Klondike Calculations," a young Scrooge spins a wild tale for his grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie about his Klondike days, boasting of a fortune found in a peculiar "hen's egg nugget" at Glittering Goldie's Blackjack Ballroom. When the nugget vanishes under suspicious circumstances, Scrooge sets off to uncover the thief, drawing in the likes of the quick-change artist Sly Kaye, the bear trainer Professor Multiple, and his calculating bear Matthew, all while dodging the jeers of two mocking prospectors and the watchful eye of Captain Dunright.
