The penultimate chapter of this eight-part DC series arrives with a cover that burns with intensity — two costumed figures, one sporting aviator goggles and the other a distinctive insectoid helmet, face each other intimately amid rising flames, all rendered in a striking red-and-gold palette by cover artist Dave Johnson. That subtitle, "The Flames of Passion," leaves little ambiguity about the charged dynamic between these two characters. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, with interior art by Renato Arlem, bring this Freedom Fighters saga nearly to its close with what promises to be an emotionally heated installment.
