Issue five of this eight-part DC series from Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray puts the Human Bomb front and center — literally — as a dark, masked silhouette emerges from the heart of a massive, roiling mushroom cloud, outstretched hands reaching through the flames. Dave Johnson's cover art is stark and unsettling, the tagline "Nothing Can Stop a Human Bomb" doing exactly what it needs to: making you want to flip the page immediately. With Renato Arlem handling interior art, this is a mid-series chapter that clearly isn't pulling any punches.
