Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #10
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSpider-Man finds himself in very murky territory in this 2002 entry from Ultimate Marvel Team-Up, as the cover by John Totleben places a crouching, wary Spider-Man face-to-face with the looming, moss-draped form of Man-Thing rising from the swamp around him. Totleben's painted rendering gives the whole scene a genuinely unsettling atmosphere — the dark, tangled vegetation and murky water make it feel less like a superhero adventure and more like a creature feature. Brian Michael Bendis scripts the unlikely pairing, and with Totleben handling both pencils and inks, the issue has a cohesive, moody visual identity that sets it apart from the rest of the Ultimate line.
