Ultimate Hawkeye #4

Kaare Andrews closes out this four-part Ultimate Comics arc with a cover that says everything without a word — a silhouetted Hawkeye frozen mid-leap against a blazing, apocalyptic cityscape, bow drawn and arrows already in flight while skyscrapers burn red around him. It's a strikingly cinematic image, all shadow and firelight, that captures the lone-archer-against-the-world tension Jonathan Hickman and Rafa Sandoval built across the series. A fine visual send-off to one of 2012's more propulsive Ultimate Universe stories.
