Tyler Cross #2
The stark, minimalist cover by Brüno says everything you need to know: Tyler Cross stands front and center, wrists shackled and ankles chained, dressed in striped prison clothes, while a lone armed guard and the looming silhouette of a penitentiary stretch across the bottom of the image. The tagline above him — "Si Tyler Cross sort un jour, ce ne sera pas pour bonne conduite" — sets a perfectly dry, foreboding tone for this 2015 Dargaud album. Writer Fabien Nury and artist Brüno deliver a crime narrative soaked in grit, with "Angola" promising a story as uncompromising as its chained and defiant protagonist.
