Two Gun Kid #106

Marvel's long-running western series delivers a tense showdown in this 1972 issue, with cover art by John Severin capturing a breathtaking moment: a masked gunfighter is sent reeling backward — guns flying from his hands — while a blue-masked figure in red stands coolly in the desert background, smoking pistol at his side. The staggered gunman's own shocked speech bubbles say it all: "Nobody's faster than me!" and "I didn't even see him draw!" That mysterious challenger, billed on the cover as "The Amazing Mr. Hurricane," has just made a very convincing first impression on the Two-Gun Kid.
