History

The series was announced at the Marvel Fanfare Panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024 by Kevin Feige and C.B. Cebulski, an unusually prominent joint announcement signaling its cross-divisional importance. Writer Katharyn Blair brought direct creative continuity from her work as a Loki Season 2 screenwriter, framing TVA as her personal 'comics interpretation' of the organization in the aftermath of Loki's sacrifice at the end of that season. Artist Pere Pérez, a veteran of titles including Rogue & Gambit, Spider-Woman, and Carnage, was paired with Blair, while Pepe Larraz provided the main cover; the issue carried a cover date of February 2025 with a release date of December 18, 2024, and the five-issue limited series ran through April 2025. Each issue also featured a backup story written by Ryan North with art by Enid Balam.
