Randy asks Delia to marry him, but insists that she stop working as a nurse when they are married. Delia feels she has an obligation to work as a nurse for at least a year after they are married. She spent a long time training for her position and there was a shortage of trained nurses. She had also won a scholarship to offset part of the expenses for her training. She feels the only way to repay that scholarship is to work as a nurse.
