Wilma was small when her mother died and her father came to America. She had been living with an aunt, but had always wanted to join her father. He had said it was too rough out west for her, but she decided to visit him without telling him. When she arrives, she discovers there is a dispute between the Graysons and the Lorings over some land, but she can't help falling in love with Shep Loring.
