True Believers: Hulk - Gray Hulk Returns #1
In "The More Things Change...", a newly merged Hulk and Banner struggle to maintain control at Gamma Base, where the scientist’s desperate attempts to end his own life clash with the Hulk’s instinct to protect him. As tensions rise and the facility’s experiments go awry, the Hulk breaks free and plunges toward Samson’s nutrient bath—only to emerge as the rare Gray Hulk before collapsing back into Bruce Banner. Written and illustrated by Al Milgrom, with cover art by Al Milgrom, this 2019 Marvel issue captures a pivotal moment in the Hulk’s fractured psyche, all set against the tense backdrop of Gamma Base.

With the Hulk and Banner merged once again, he is restrained at Gamma Base as he continues to switch from one to the other. Banner tries to emerge from the Hulk's chest and kill himself while the jade giant is forced to protect him. The Hulk escapes from his restraints and is chased toward Samson's nutrient bath. Ross tries to monkey with the equipment being used to cure Banner of the Hulk and, when Rick intervenes, Ross knocks him into the bath. The Hulk is submerged in the same tank and busts out of the side as the grey version of the Hulk but he quickly reverts to Banner.
