True Believers: Black Widow & the Thing #1
In "Is This the Day the World Ends?", Black Widow and the Thing are thrown together when Natasha’s desperate escape collides with Ben Grimm’s peaceful park stroll—literally. Trapped on a floating ocean platform by the fanatical Sword of Judgment, Natasha confronts an unexpected enemy from her past while the Thing races against time to disarm a buried nuclear bomb. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Bob Brown, with inks and colors by Klaus Janson, this gripping tale blends high-stakes action with personal history, all framed by a striking cover by Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia.

The Widow is trying to escape from members of the Sword of Judgment when she literally runs over the Thing who is out taking a walk in the park with Alicia. The Sword captures the Thing and the Widow and takes them to their floating ocean platform where Natasha learns that the terrorists are being led by an old flame. While the Thing tries to pull up three miles of cable attached to a powerful nuclear bomb from the ocean floor, Black Widow fights off Agamemnon and his followers to give her ally time to save the world from destruction.
