Trollen van Troy #16
Arleston and Mourier's beloved Trollen van Troy series reaches its sixteenth volume with "Trollenhaar," and the cover by Jean-Louis Mourier makes quite a first impression — a massive, shaggy troll dominates the circular vignette, wide-eyed and seemingly startled, with a small armored figure clutched near its mouth and another tiny character visible at the bottom left. Mourier's expressive linework brings both the troll's goofy menace and the smaller characters' vulnerability to life with warmth and humor that has made this Dutch-language fantasy series such a pleasure. If you've been following Troy's world of trolls and adventure, this 2012 installment looks ready to deliver more of the charm and creature-filled comedy fans have come to love.
