Having apparently killed R'as, Circe now has sole control of the Pandora Pits and the captured Superman, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, and Deadman. A dying Constantine tries to stop Circe, and the tide turns with the arrival of Batman with the Red Hood, Artemis, and Bizarro, who have been freed from demonic possession by Batman. After a battle, Circe is captured, Zatanna is able to heal Constantine's wounds, and R'as returns from the Pandora Pits to take revenge on Circe.
