"Adventures of the Arabian Knight" depicts a swashbuckling tale of an Arabian warrior battling enemies and treasure seekers in an exotic setting. "Paul Bunyan" recounts the legendary lumberjack discovering that a mysterious manuscript about his deeds contains magical powers, leading him to hide it from those who would misuse it. A third story involves a sorcerer who discovers an ancient manuscript by Ludwig Prinn and attempts to use supernatural incantations and conjured creatures to take over the world, only to have his evil plans thwarted when the manuscript's powers prove uncontrollable. "Mighty Marco" follows the Egyptian wizard Marco as he travels to the kingdom of Ecbu to prevent the Sea God from destroying the eastern coast.
In the dense jungle, Gor the Gorilla King stands watch over his band while his mate tends to their young son Ok high in the trees—until a prowling leopard strikes in the darkness, seeking to snatch the child. When the great cat's ambush goes awry, Gor must face the spotted predator in a ferocious battle to protect his family and his people. Come morning, peace is restored to the jungle, and the mighty king leads his band onward once again.
Paul Bunyan passes through the frontier town of Sourdough and encounters Lazy Lou, a perpetually idle fellow who refuses to budge even as a devastating flood threatens the town. When Paul agrees to help, his legendary strength and resourcefulness transform one calamity after another into opportunities for the townspeople—but Lou, true to his nature, remains convinced that his luck will see him through without lifting a finger. As Paul tackles everything from raging rivers to forest fires with characteristic bravado, Lou tags along for the adventure, testing the giant's patience with his shameless reliance on chance and the kindness of others.
When Marco Polo's ship sinks off an uncharted coast, the natives of Ecbu mistake him for a god sent to save them from a fearsome hippogriff—a creature that should exist only in myth. The explorer soon discovers that the kingdom's plot is far more complicated than a simple monster hunt, and he must use his wits to uncover the true threat hiding beneath the surface. With cunning traps and keen observation, Marco works to expose the mystery and restore order to King Fayda's realm.
