Transmetropolitan #54

Transmetropolitan's "The Cure Part Three of Three" wraps up a story arc with all the anarchic energy that Warren Ellis, Darick Robertson, and Rodney Ramos bring to this Vertigo series. Glenn Fabry's cover captures that spirit vividly — at the center stands a tattooed, bra-wearing figure brandishing a massive chainsaw above a dense crowd of grotesque, wide-eyed citizens, a child, a scantily clad woman, a bearded old man hoisting a stein, and an array of wonderfully unsettling faces pressing in from every direction. It's a packed, chaotic snapshot of the City in all its gloriously unhinged 2002 form.
