Transmetropolitan #51 (January 2002) arrives with a cover rendered by the incomparable Moebius, whose distinctive linework frames two armed figures against a smoky purple backdrop: a pale, shaven-headed man in mismatched red-and-green sunglasses, cigarette dangling from his lips and revolver in hand, stands alongside a dark-haired woman clutching a transparent pistol. Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson's "Two-Fisted Editor" promises the kind of sharp, anarchic energy that has made this Vertigo series one of the more compelling sci-fi-political satires on the stands in 2002.
