Transmetropolitan #24

Darick Robertson and Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitan has always thrived on capturing the glorious chaos of The City, and issue #24's cover — rendered in stunning detail by Geof Darrow — delivers exactly that. A bald, dark-jacketed figure at the center is practically swallowed by an overwhelming press of humanity: bizarre, grotesque, wonderfully strange faces crowd every inch of the image, drinking, gawking, and surging in every direction. It's a fitting visual introduction to "The New Scum," a story arc that seems very much at home in this gloriously overcrowded urban madhouse.
