Transformers #20

This haunting cover for Transformers #20 pulls no punches — a massive, cracked wall of rubble dominates the scene, beneath which lies the battered, exposed machinery of a fallen Transformer, wires and components scattered across the debris-strewn ground. Daniel Warren Johnson's cover art leans into a somber, almost elegiac mood, bathed in deep reds and cool blues by colorist Mike Spicer, giving the whole image a bruised, war-weary atmosphere. Jorge Corona brings that same energy to the interior pages of this 2025 Image Comics series, which continues to show it has no fear of putting its characters through the wringer.
