In "Kandidat till tronen," the Autobots fight back against the Decepticons' monstrous Pretenders by building their own human-like team, using stolen technology to match the threat. When they uncover a digital echo of Optimus Prime's mind stored within a computer game, he awakens to lead his new team—believing the battle is just another simulation—only to find the stakes are all too real.

In "Duellen," the Autobots fracture as Grimlock challenges Fortress Maximus to a death duel for leadership, forcing Blaster—held captive by Grimlock—to step in. The two factions clash on the Moon, but their battle is interrupted when the Decepticons assault the Ark. Amid the chaos, Grimlock and Blaster set aside their differences, though Goldbug escapes with three others and the disk containing Optimus Prime’s memory.
