Set against a sun-warmed coastal port, the cover of this 2017 Dargaud Benelux release finds a fair-haired sailor balanced confidently on the deck of a sailing vessel, one arm outstretched toward a large steamship trailing smoke on the horizon — while a robed, turbaned figure watches from the foreground. Jean-Charles Kraehn's cover art captures a vivid tension between sail and steam, the old world and the industrial, that feels entirely fitting for a series called Tramp. "Storm op komst" — Storm Coming — is a title that promises exactly the kind of seafaring intrigue fans of Kraehn and Jusseaume's long-running maritime adventure have come to love.
