Set against a brooding, overcast harbor, this 2012 Dargaud Benelux album presents "Het vervloekte vrachtschip" — "The Cursed Freighter" — the tenth installment of the maritime adventure series Tramp. The cover, rendered by Jean-Charles Kraehn, places a young merchant officer front and center on the dockside, his naval uniform and coiled rope hinting at authority and danger, while behind him the imposing freighter Dierrick looms at the quay with dockworkers gathered nearby. It's a moody, atmospheric image that immediately evokes the seafaring tension this Kraehn and Jusseaume series does so well.
