Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #162

Feb 2011 · Wizard Entertainment · 4.99 USD; 5.99 CAD

In this festive special from Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #162, J. Jonah Jameson finds himself haunted by a very unusual trio of spirits—starting with the ghost of Christmas past, who takes him back to his days as a newsie and a brutal encounter with Golden Age Spider-Man. As the holiday season unfolds, John’s attempts to show Jameson the true meaning of Christmas lead to some unexpected revelations, including a surprising moment with Spider-Woman at the editor’s own home. The ghost of Christmas yet to come? None other than Doc Brown, who whisks Jameson into a future where his antics are driving the time-traveling scientist to distraction. Written by Justin Aclin, Jon Gutierrez, Rob Bricken, T. J. Dietsch, and Carlos Mejia, with art, inks, and colors by Dan Reilly, this holiday tale blends classic superhero lore with a uniquely twisted twist.

When J. Jonah Jameson makes his staff work Christmas, John decides to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. He appears as the ghost of Christmas past. They go back to when he was a newsie fighting for rights, and was beaten up by Golden Age Spider-Man. Then in the present John tries to show him Spider-Man doing something good, but instead they show him in Jonah's house, drinking his wine and getting it on with Spider-Woman. The ghost of Christmas yet to come is Doc Brown, and he's taking him to the future, where John is driving Doc crazy.
