Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #152

Apr 2010 · Wizard Entertainment · 4.99 USD; 5.99 CAD

In a delightfully absurd twist, G.I. Joe and COBRA find themselves back at their old high school for career day—only to realize they were all classmates two decades prior. Flashbacks reveal long-buried rivalries: Duke once trapped Cobra Commander in a locker, while Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow’s feud began before they could even talk. Now, as adults, they’re forced to confront the past and debate which side was, and still is, the bigger asshole—no team uniforms, just awkward reunions and old grudges. Written by Justin Aclin, Jon Gutierrez, Rob Bricken, Sean T. Collins, T. J. Dietsch, and Jesse Thompson, this issue blends humor and nostalgia with a surprising emotional undercurrent.
