Toy Story #1
"Master Woody" kicks off Marvel's Toy Story series with a playful, perfectly pitched adventure that captures the stakes of a toy's world through a simple, relatable crisis: when Buster the puppy steals Woody’s hat, the entire toy crew rallies to reclaim it. Written by Tea Orsi and brought to life by Antonello Dalena’s expressive art, with inks by Michela Frare and colors by Paco Desiato, the story unfolds with charming tension as the toys misread Buster’s actions—only to learn the truth in a quiet, heartfelt moment. The cover by Marco Ghiglione perfectly frames the moment, hinting at the humor and heart that define this 2.99 USD comic from 2012.

The toys try to keep Andy's new puppy from playing with them by building a barricade of blocks with dog biscuits in front of it, thinking he'll eat the biscuits and not be able to jump over the wall to reach them. The plan fails. Buster doesn't like the stinky biscuits. The next day, they try to keep him away with noise. That fails too. Buster takes Woody's hat and hides it somewhere. The toys spot Buster in the yard and assume he's buried the hat. Woody goes out to try to get Buster to dig it up. Turns out, he didn't bury it. Woody returns to Andy's room and Buster brings back his hat.
