“The Moving Finger Writhes...!”

In "The Moving Finger Writhes...!", a curious student reporter stumbles upon a wax museum that shouldn’t exist—materializing out of thin air across the street. As he investigates, he discovers the figures are not wax at all, but aliens in disguise, and when the police arrive, the museum reveals its true form: a spaceship that lifts off, leaving behind a group of frustrated student reporters who just wanted a story. Written by Gary Friedrich and illustrated by George Tuska and Marie Severin, with cover art by Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia, this 1970 Marvel tale blends eerie atmosphere with a twist that’s as surprising as it is playful.
