Torchy #3

This March 1950 Quality Comics entry in the Torchy series delivers the strip's signature mix of glamour and good-natured comedy, courtesy of a cover by Gill Fox. The scene says it all: a dazzling blonde Torchy strolls past a red "Just Married" car while the groom leans out the window with an unmistakably distracted grin — and his new bride in a wedding veil shoots a withering glare from the passenger seat. The tagline "You Can't Beat Nature!" perfectly captures the breezy, wink-at-the-audience spirit that made this series a standout among postwar humor comics.
