Tomb of Dracula #4

Dracula looms large and menacing at the center of this fourth issue, his hooded, glowering face dominating the composition while two armed figures — a pale-haired woman and a powerfully built man, both wielding blades that flash with light — flank him from behind. The cover pencils by Bill Sienkiewicz give the Lord of Vampires a brooding, painterly weight that makes the tension between hunter and hunted feel genuinely palpable. Writer Robert Rodi and artist Jamie Tolagson bring Marvel's darkest corner of horror storytelling into 2005 with real atmosphere to spare.
