Tom Strong #14

Alan Moore's Tom Strong series has always worn its pulp science-fantasy heart proudly on its sleeve, and issue #14 — "Space Family Strong!" — is a splendid example. Cover artist Tom McWeeney throws Tom and two space-suited companions into a frantic cosmic struggle, blasting ray guns at a mass of writhing tentacles beneath a starfield populated by a finned silver rocket and a deeply unsettling brain-headed alien creature.
