Tom Judge: End of Days #1
In "End of Days," Paul Jenkins and Clayton Crain launch a chilling exploration of fate and sacrifice as Mr. Black, having orchestrated the demise of Hell’s lords, unleashes a nerve gas attack in Manhattan to force Tom into a final confrontation. With the Rapture in his hands and the world on the brink, Tom seeks guidance from the Devil—only to find no answers. When he ultimately hands the Rapture to the Conductor, the twist lies not in who takes it, but in what remains when he returns to Earth. The cover, a striking collaboration by Clayton Crain and Marc Silvestri with inks by Jonathan Glapion and Batt, captures the story’s grim intensity.

Mr. Black orchestrates the deaths of all of the lords of Hell, bringing about the end of days. He launches a nerve gas attack in Manhattan to draw Tom out. Before he shoots himself and sends himself to Hell, he tells Tom that he has rigged the game and that whoever Tom can think of to give the Rapture to will end up giving it to him. Tom goes to the Devil for advice, but doesn't get any. In the end Tom gives the Rapture to the Conductor, who takes possession of Mr. Black. But when Tom returns to Earth, he still has the Rapture.
