Tom & Jerry Comics #202

Tom looms over an empty plate with a scheming expression while Jerry and his little pal Tuffy scurry off in opposite directions — each making off with a strip of bacon and a fried egg, leaving the cat with absolutely nothing to show for his efforts. It's a perfectly charming snapshot of the eternal breakfast battle that made MGM's duo so beloved, brought to the comics page here by Dell in 1961. Readers also had something extra to look forward to: the cover announces a big Dell Comics contest, making this issue a little time capsule of mid-century comics fun.
