Titans #26

The Blood Cult has the Titans in their grip — literally — in this 2018 issue of Titans, with the cover by Ben Oliver delivering a genuinely unsettling image of a star-spangled hero ensnared in grotesque crimson tendrils while robed cultists loom over her. Beast Boy and Nightwing look on from the edges of the scene, caught between urgency and dread, surrounded by walls of pulsing organic matter that make the whole setting feel viscerally wrong. Dan Abnett's "Blood Will Flow" promises the kind of high-stakes, horror-tinged team drama that makes this era of the series such a compelling read.
