Kitty is still stuck in the real world while Excalibur is shunted to a reality where Cap is known as Crusader X and the Shadow King runs the Hellfire Club. The Shadow King pulls Jean Grey under his power and Rachel cannot save her from death (but she most certainly swears revenge).
