Timmy the Timid Ghost becomes a circus celebrity after accidentally scaring a gorilla back into its cage, leading the ringmaster to congratulate him and hire him as a performer. When all the circus acts flee after Timmy frightens them away, he discovers two cats delivered a singing telegram informing him that his Aunt Mary was sick, prompting him to chase after the train to get back home. Along the way, Timmy tries to scare a rain cloud and various farm animals in a series of comedic misadventures before finally making it back.
