Time Warp #2

DC's Time Warp #2 (1979) delivers eight new science fiction shorts under the banner of "Doomsday Tales and Other Things," and Michael Wm. Kaluta's cover sets the mood beautifully — a massive, otherworldly red spacecraft dominates the star-field while two spacesuited figures tumble helplessly in the void below it, caught in what looks like a targeting crosshair. Inside, a remarkable roster of talent including J. M. DeMatteis and Gil Kane contributes to the anthology, with Kane also handling inks on his own work alongside colorist Adrienne Roy. For fans of late-'70s sci-fi comics, this dollar-priced anthology is a genuinely satisfying grab.
